The California Peer Court DUI Prevention Program

Project Summary
We teamed up with Black Crow Studio to design and build this site aimed at educating teens and their parents about the hard realities of DUI. The site is intended to accompany a written curriculum presented to teens in the Peer Court system, but also stands on its own.

Consultation, information architecture, site development and ColdFusion scripting. Graphic design and creative direction by Black Crow Studio.
Notes
We worked closely with the AOC, Peer Court program coordinators from across the state, the curriculum developers and with teen focus groups to develop a site structure and visual language that would circumvent the typical defenses teens have to these sorts of messages.
On a technical note, we also dusted off our knowledge of CFML 6 to do server-side scripting that met the specific server requirements of the state. The site was also designed to be easily edited by in-house staff, and to comply with ADA accessibility requirements.
